What do you do?
I work as a Grants and Support Officer at a national LGBT+ charity. In my own time I am a big enthusiast of films (particularly horror), reading, and various crafts.
What are you passionate about?
Social justice, community, craftivism (crafts as activism), LGBTQ+ rights, decolonisation, disability rights, nature, and so much more.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Passionate, considerate, and thoughtful.
Why did you want to be part of the Youth Advisory Board?
I want to support Herts Young Homeless’ mission to help young people at risk of homelessness, and to break down the stigma around homelessness and housing instability.
What are you most excited to do as a member of the Youth Advisory Board?
I am excited to get to know my fellow YAB members and work together to improve HYH’s support of young people across Herts.
What change do you hope to help make by being part of the Youth Advisory Board?
I hope that by sharing my lived experiences and working closely with the rest of the Youth Advisory Board, we can help more young people get the support they need and know that there is no shame in experiencing homelessness/housing instability. I am particularly passionate about ensuring support is accessible to those with higher risk of homelessness, such as disabled and LGBTQ+ communities.
What’s one fun or unusual fact about yourself?
My first job was as a Scare Actor at a Halloween attraction (mainly as a clown!)
