In May 2022, a team of four cyclists took on the Willta a España cycle challenge in aid of three charities, including Herts Young Homeless.
The team cycled a total of 3,200km across Spain over 18 gruelling days with no rest days! The challenge was especially tough as it took place during the Spanish heatwave.
Including Gift Aid, the total funds raised approached an incredible £50k which was split between the three charities.
To celebrate their fantastic achievement and say thank you for the amazing amount raised for HYH, we jumped at the opportunity to nominate them for the Hearts Hertfordshire Hero Awards. We were so thrilled the team were selected as finalists in the fundraising category and attended the awards ceremony at Sopwell House on Friday 27th January 2023!
